Anchored on the theme “Committed. Empowered. Progressive.”,
the three-day summit gathered nearly 300 youth delegates from across the
province under Camps Balite, Bingi, Ibabao, and Sumuroy. The activity aimed to
ignite passion, strengthen commitment, and empower young Nortehanons to become
active leaders and community builders.
The summit opened with the presence of Governor Harris M.
Ongchuan, Vice Governor Clarence E. Dato, and members of the Sangguniang
Panlalawigan, who encouraged the youth to become catalysts of positive change.
Delegates participated in banner-making competitions, leadership workshops,
learning sessions, and discussions on civic engagement, community development,
and mental health.
The final day featured exciting team-building activities,
including the SIKLAB Race and the “Tap of the World Challenge,” which tested
participants’ leadership, teamwork, trust, and problem-solving skills.
During the closing program, Catubig received the Strongest
Delegation Award, while Mr. Christian Morecho was recognized with the
Leadership Excellence Award. Camp Sumuroy emerged as the Overall Champion,
earning 14,000 points and taking home the prestigious Flame of Leadership Award

participants celebrated new friendships and shared experiences. Though the
event has ended, SIKLAB has left a lasting inspiration among the youth of
Northern Samar to remain committed, empowered, and progressive leaders in their
communities.
