Allen District Hospital is steadily moving towards improved
health service delivery, following the completion of the initial phase of its
Hemodialysis Center constructed by the Provincial Government. The facility
includes an Advance Double-Pass Reverse Osmosis (ADPRO) System designed to
ensure highest level of safety of water which will be used during the dialysis
process.
A P17-million fund for the construction of the Hemodialysis Center was approved few years back by then Governor Edwin Ongchuan, and continued by Governor Harris Ongchuan under the Provincial Government Serbisyong HCO development agenda.
The Department of Health has committed 8 units of dialysis
machines for the center under its Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP),
which will make Allen District Hospital the first public hospital outside
Catarman to have a Hemodialysis Center in Northern Samar. Governor Ongchuan,
with Cong. Edwin and ADH OIC-Chief of Hospital Dr. Joseph Cary Tomada, are now
working towards making the facility operational, once DOH turns over the
machines.
As a priority agenda of the Provincial Government, health
initiative such as the construction of the Hemodialysis Center is given
emphasis by the administration to cater to the specialized healthcare needs of
the people of Allen, and island communities and other towns nearby the
municipality.
