Vice Governor Clarence Dato notes of the new Catarman-Cebu flight as a promising development that will strengthen the economy and tourism sector of Northern Samar

With Cebu's domestic and international flights, tourists in the Visayas and other parts of the country and the world can now reach Northern Samar's breathtaking sights with more ease, he added. Vice Governor Dato graced the launching of the new route at the Catarman Airport, along with DOT 8 Assistant Regional Director Boris Pascubillo, Catarman Mayor Antet Rosales, PAL officials and other guests.

In just a short flight away, local and international tourists can now marvel at the pristine beaches, breathtaking landscapes, historical sites and other geological wonders of the province including the world-famous Biri Rock Formation in Biri, Lalaguna Eco Park in Lavezares, and Pinusilan Blue Lagoon in Mapanas which have captured the interest of both travellers and archaeological explorers.

Also, this seamless connection with other regions complements the Provincial Government's investment promotion initiatives.

The new Catarman-Cebu route started yesterday, March 4, 2025.
