The Provincial Government through Vice Governor Clarence Dato who presided the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Meeting earlier today, thanked member agencies and organizations for always showing up during emergencies and consistently working hard to respond to disasters.
He mentioned how the Council has convened many times this year, challenged by a number of weather disturbances, the recent being typhoon Kristine, supertyphoon Pepito, and this shear line, but always answered to the call for public service.
Intense rains in the past 24-hours due to shear line has resulted to flooding in many areas in Northern Samar, prompting the PDRRMC to assess the initial impact and identify needed actions.
While the incident is only 2 days away from Christmas and a week until the new year, the response cluster has shown remarkable consistency and support which Vice Gov said he hoped to continue in the coming year.
