Recognized for its solid investment services and initiatives, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar received prestigious recognition during the Gawad Bayanihan Sa Pamumuhunan Awarding Ceremony for its contribution to the national goal of attracting foreign direct investments and strengthening local investments in the Philippines held earlier today, December 16, 2024, at the Diamond Hotel, Manila.

Hosted by the Board of Investments and the Investment Facilitation Network (INFA-Net), this recognition was a direct result of the impressive over 200 billion pesos in investments garnered solely in 2024. This substantial investment inflow underscored the effectiveness of the province's initiatives and their alignment with the country’s broader objective of strengthening its economic backbone.

The 200 billion pesos not only strengthens Northern Samar’s economic standing but also contributes significantly to the Philippines' national efforts in fostering a more attractive investment climate. This was only made possible through close coordination between the PGNS and the BOI in the areas of investment promotions and facilitation.

Among the provinces, the Province of Northern Samar, together with the Province of Laguna and the Province of Bulacan, were the only provinces among the 82 to be recognized by the Philippine Board of Investments for their excellence in investment servicing.

Moving forward, the provincial government of Northern Samar remains committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of its investment services, ensuring to continue to attract more investments, contributing to the province's growth, and the country’s economic progress.
