PPDO starts preparation of 2025 DPCR

As a repository of evidenced-based planning information and catalyst of sustainable and inclusive development, the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) spearheaded by EnP Jay Keenson C. Acebuche, OIC-PPDO, revisited the Department Performance Commitment Report (DPCR) to ensure quality, efficient, and timely services for Nortehanons, Yesterday, October 7, 2024, at the PPDO Conference Area, Provincial Capitol, Catarman.

The DPCR plays a crucial role in obtaining the office's goals, objectives, and mechanisms ensuring that the implementation of the programs, projects, and activities is aligned with the overall strategic goals of the organization and is making progress towards achieving set targets. 

The PPDO is composed of four key divisions, namely: the Planning, Programming, and Policy Development Division, which focuses on formulating both short-term and long-term development plans as well as conducting development research to address the present and future needs; the Knowledge Management, Monitoring and Evaluation Division ensures the effective use of information and knowledge to make sound decisions and come up with better outcomes; the Cluster Coordination and Secretariat Services Division that facilitates the collaboration among other offices; and the Administrative Services Division which aims to support the office's operations. Additionally, these functions are just some of the many important tasks each division carries out all year round.

The office will identify the four goals for each division to cultivate the areas that need improvement and make informed decisions for the 2025 planning period. It was ensured that all the programs under the PPDO were well-conducted, well-documented, and closely monitored. 

The PPDO plays a significant role in the province’s urban planning and development by formulating well-rounded plans integrating the economic, social, and environmental aspects, which undermines the development agenda of Governor Edwin Marino C. Ongchuan dubbed as Padayon nga KAUSWAGAN or Sustained PROGRESS.
