Provincial Government conducts Livelihood Training on Beauty Care Service

In the aim to bring positive change in the lives of Nortehanons, the Provincial Government through the Provincial Gender and Development Focal Point System and the Provincial Agriculture Office, in coordination with LGU Gamay, spearheaded a livelihood training on Beauty Care Service (Hair and Nail Care) in Gamay, Northern Samar on August 8-9, 2023. 

A total of 30 women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community from the municipality of Gamay have successfully completed the two-day training facilitated by resource persons from TESDA and DTI Northern Samar. 

The initiative seeks to provide additional source of income to vulnerable members of the community to be able to support their family's needs.  The participants also received starter kits from the Provincial Government to assist them as they start on this livelihood venture.   

With its potential to uplift more lives in different parts of the province, the program is also set to be conducted in Silvino Lubos and Rosario.
