Rich tilapia harvest from the Provincial Government Fish Cage Techno-Demo Project

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar, recently harvested approximately 80 kilograms of fresh tilapia as a result of the right technology adopted by the Provincial Agriculture Office.

The fresh catch were provided to the Dancalan Provincial Jail where nearly 300 persons deprived of liberty needed protein and other nutritious food. The Provincial Agriculture Office also conducted bi-monthly sampling of the fish stock, which is crucial for managing fish growth and health.

The Dancalan Fish Cages Techno-Demo Project serves as the province's research facility, alongside the Libas Estate Multiplier Farm in Sitio Libas, Pambujan and the Provincial Agriculture and Fisheries Extension Center in Barangay Galutan, Catarman. These facilities are part of the Provincial Government's continuous efforts to develop agriculture for sustainable food sources and livelihood for Nortehanons.
