Provincial Government continuously improves Lingap Center

The Lingap Center (formerly known as the Home for Children and Adolescents) undergoes improvement to aptly provide a caring and enabling environment for children under its care.

The center, a DSWD accredited residential-based facility located at the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Compound, Old Capitol Site, Brgy. Dalakit, Catarman, extends services, psychosocial and psychological interventions necessary to provide a safer place for Nortehanon children who are either abandoned, neglected, abused and exploited where they can play, learn, seek counsel and comfort.

Managed by the Provincial Government through the PSWDO, the Lingap Center seeks to help reintegrate disadvantaged children into society by implementing various programs which include therapy and recovery, character building, health and nutrition, education and skills training.

The Lingap Center operations is only one of the many social welfare programs of the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Edwin Ongchuan who believes in the basic right to a decent life and the need to promote the well-being of every Nortehanon.
