Provincial Government Completes Wharf in Brgy. San Roque, San Isidro town

The Municipality of San Isidro has a newly upgraded wharf, in addition to the improved San Isidro port located in the poblacion serving small crafts bound for San Antonio and other islands in the province and the ferry terminal serving sea crafts plying the San Isidro-Matnog route.

The recently completed Wharf Project is located in Brgy. San Roque, and is intended to serve more sea vessels, both passenger and cargo, plying to San Antonio and other neighboring islands.
The wharf project, along with the Improvement of San Isidro port, was funded by the Department of Transportation (DoTr) under its Marine Infrastructure Program, implemented by the Provincial Government.

Part of the seaport systems initiative of the government, the wharf is seen to significantly increase the delivery and accessibility of services, and facilitate greater mobility of tourists, travelers and products.
The project, with 280mm thick pavement, 150mm subbase course, and handlaid rock embankment, also comes with drainage canal and a passenger's terminal.

Governor Edwin Ongchuan is grateful to the national government for its support to the Provincial Government in its efforts of bolstering infrastructure to stimulate economic growth and promoting resiliency in Northern Samar.
