27TH Kauswagan Caravan reaches 1,399 families from 5 coastal barangays in Laoang

Today, July 19, 2024, the 27th Kauswagan Caravan has served the more or less 1,399 families from the 5 coastal barangays of Laoang – Mualbual, Cahayagan, Inamlan, Langob and Onay.

A Provincial Government-led program, carried out with the strong support of national government agencies, non-government organizations, private sector groups and partner municipal and barangay local government units, the Kauswagan Caravan brought various services which included medical and dental services, circumcision, haircut veterinary services, counselling, consultation on government services and programs, birth and civil registration, food packs, toys, bags, school supplies, among many.

One of his brainchild program, Governor Edwin Ongchuan again stressed the need for government to reach out to communities and bring government services closer to the people, whenever possible. 

Joining Governor Ongchuan in the caravan were Vice Governor Clarence Dato, Board Member Don Abalon, Laoang Mayor Hector Ong and former Governor Madeleine Ong along with the members of the Laoang Municipal Council, PNP Provincial Director Sonnie Omegan, DILG Provincial Director Geraldine Maquelabit, 803rd IB Capt. Valben Almirante, 20th IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Richard Villaflor and other Philippine Army and PNP Officials, punong barangays of the 5 beneficiary barangays, heads and representatives of government agencies, LGU Laoang, the Provincial Government and other Kauswagan Caravan partners.
