Newly constructed River Control in Palapag

On track of its disaster risk reduction and resiliency efforts, the Provincial Government has recently completed the construction of river control in Brgy. Bagacay, Palapag, N. Samar, close to the Bagacay Dam.

The project includes the construction of 771 linear meters river control with sheet piles essential to minimize the impact of flooding or overflowing of water from the Bagacay dam or the river.

While a relatively a small community, Brgy. Bagacay is highly exposed to the risk of flooding or landslide, with its proximity to the river and to the dam.

The completion of the P9.9 million project is part of the Provincial Government's steadfast commitment of enhancing infrastructures to aid Nortehanons in times of natural calamities.
