Based on the latest weather report of PAG-ASA, Tropical Depression ADA intensifies as it continues to move northwestward at 20 km/hr. The center of TD Ada is now located at 385 km East Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 465 km East of Surigao City, carrying maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.
Tropical Wind Signal No. 1 has been raised in Northern Samar since yesterday, and is expected to bring heavy rains to the province tonight until Saturday. It is also forecast to pass close to Northern Samar or Eastern Samar tomorrow or Saturday morning.
