Good Start to 2026: PGNS Nursing Scholars Receive ₱1.33M in Scholarships

As our 31 nursing scholars continue in the pursuit of their nursing careers, the Provincial Government stays true to its commitment by releasing their stipend, book and uniform allowance on the first office day of the year, this January 6, 2026.

The benefit, totaling to P1,333,000.00, is expected to be used in their study as they enter the 2nd semester of academic year 2025-2026. This is apart from the Related-Learning Expenses that the Provincial Government also pays to the school in favor of its its nursing scholars, upon compliance with documentary requirements.

The program, started during the term of Governor Edwin Ongchuan, and continues under the leadership of Governor Harris, is designed to enhance health service delivery in the province by supporting the study of Nortehanons who will serve public hospitals in Northern Samar after they successfully hurdle the nursing licensure examinations and become professional healthcare providers.

The activity also provided opportunity for the scholars to give updates on their study, share good practices and inspire fellow scholars on effectively managing their finances and their academics, with the fruitful exchange facilitated by the PGNS NSP Technical Working Group. (NLO)
