San Antonio, Northern Samar – The Provincial Economic
Development and Investment Promotions Office (PEDIPO) continues its initiative
to validate and support local enterprises through a series of verification and
site visits to community-based associations in the municipality of San Antonio.
These associations are actively engaged in agriculture,
livestock, fishing, and the production of handicrafts made from locally sourced
materials such as nito vines and coconut shells. The visit aimed to assess the
current status of these livelihood groups, identify their challenges and needs,
and explore opportunities to strengthen their operations.
The activity forms part of PEDIPO’s broader commitment to
empower grassroots enterprises by linking them to relevant support services,
capacity-building programs, and potential market opportunities. Through
continued collaboration with local government units and partner agencies,
PEDIPO seeks to bolster the growth and sustainability of community-based
livelihoods in San Antonio and across Northern Samar.
