July 22, 2025, a new unit of jail transport for the Northern Samar Provincial Jail was delivered to the Provincial Government of Northern Samar, formally received by Governor Harris Ongchuan in the presence of OIC Provincial Warden Jay Keenson Acebuche.
The new vehicle is intended exclusively for the transport of
Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Northern Samar Provincial Jail (NSPJ)
during case hearings or for their safe transfer to other jail facilities when
authorized by the court.
Designed specifically for jail transport, the new vehicle
will ensure the safety and comfort of PDLs during transfers.
