Sixty-eight (68) Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangay (SGLGB) National Passers for 2024, were given recognition during the LnB Northern Samar 1st Semester Provincial Assembly cum SGLGB Enhancement Seminar recently held from February 26 to March 4, 2025 in Quezon City.
Conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the SGLGB Award is a prestigious recognition given to barangays that demonstrate outstanding governance, transparency, and accountability. This award ensures that communities receive the quality services they deserve.
During the event, the Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) Northern Samar Chapter formally acknowledged the commitment and dedication of the 68 barangays in upholding good governance. The recognition was led by Governor Edwin Ongchuan, alongside LnB President, Northern Samar Chapter Board Member Arturo T. Dubongco, Jr., DILG Region VIII Director Arnel Agabe, 2nd District Representative Congressman Harris Ongchuan, and Provincial Director Geraldine Maquelabit.
The recognition reflects the commitment of the Provincial Government of Northern Samar to acknowledging the efforts of local leaders in fostering effective leadership and good governance in their respective communities.
