Northern Samar board member invokes tree-growing as part of the corporate social responsibility of private sector groups

Amidst intense rains that contribute to the swelling of bodies of water, landslide and flooding incidents, Board Member Albert Lucero called for strengthening of tree-growing efforts, and involve private sector groups in the initiative as part of their corporate social responsibility.

He cited as example contractors’ groups and private entities who can significantly help in massive tree-growing activities in the province, with their existing pool of human resources and equipment.

While the Provincial Government has its continuing campaign to save the environment by planting trees especially during Kauswagan Caravans, Board Member Lucero suggests tree-planting of a much bigger scale.
