After filing his certificate of candidacy for Governor, Northern Samar 2nd District Congressman Harris Ongchuan bared his plan to continue the legacy of Governor Edwin Ongchuan, assuring Northern Samar to follow Governor Ongchuan’s visionary leadership and good governance mark.
He also said that he is determined to keep the programs that his predecessor has started. “Our journey toward meaningful development has already begun, and I am determined to continue the legacy of progress initiated by the Governor, and to enhance the delivery of essential services to our beloved Nortehanons especially to geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) of Northern Samar.”
He thanked Governor Ongchuan, their strong and united political alliance and vast support system, for the opportunity he was given to serve the entire Northern Samar. While admitting that it is a big responsibility, he said he is ready to take on the challenge.
“I humbly ask for your prayers, full support and guidance on this journey. Padayon para sa marig-on, mainuswagon, ngan malipayon nga mga Nortehanon,” Congressman Ongchuan remarked.
Congressman Ongchuan filed his COC along with Governor Ongchuan and aspiring Congressman Niko Raul Daza yesterday, October 8, 2024. Before he was voted to office as representative of the Second District, he was mayor of Laoang, Board Member of the province and Muncipal Councilor, also of Laoang.
