29th Kauswagan Caravan brings hope to 1,735 families in Lavezares, Northern Samar

The 29th Kauswagan Caravan is hoped to make a significant impact to 1,735 families from Barangays Chansvilla, Toog, Salvacion, Libertad, and Enriqueta, all of Lavezares, Northern Samar, who were targeted to benefit from the 29th Kauswagan Caravan held today, October 15, 2024 at Enriqueta Elementary School, Brgy. Enriqueta, Lavezares.

The Kauswagan Caravan, a day dedicated to community support and volunteerism spearheaded by the Provincial Government, in partnership with national government agencies, non-government organizations and private sector groups, underscores the importance of reaching out to remote communities to provide essential services, which include free medical and laboratory check-up, educational resources, food assistance, circumcision, haircut and other basic services. Additionally, hybrid coconut trees were planted during the caravan, symbolizing a commitment to environmental sustainability and long-term community development.

Volunteers from partners agencies and private sector groups came together to impart services and goods, showcasing the power of community spirit and collective action. Organizations and community members donated their time and resources, embodying the essence of volunteerism as they work side by side to uplift fellow Nortehanons.

The Kauswagan Caravan serves as a reminder of the importance of collaboration and mutual support in addressing the challenges of the province.

As the event unfolded, the Provincial Government is hopeful that it leaves a lasting impression on the lives of those who were involved, reinforcing the belief that together, we can achieve meaningful change.
