THESOURCE || Speaking for the Provincial Government of Benguet, Board Member Marie Rose T. Fongwan-Kepes, chairperson of the committee on Trade, Industry and Livelihood, expressed gratitude to the Provincial Government of Northern Samar for warmly welcoming them during their benchmarking activity in the province.

"From the bottom of our hearts, nagpapasalamat kami sa Provincial Government of Northern Samar. Rest assured na lahat ng natutunan namin sa Northern Samar, we will bring it home to`Benguet. Nakita ko din na ang legislative measures ng Northern Samar ay balanced dahil mayroon kayong mga men and women leaders."

Their first time in Northern Samar, Benguet officials learned a lot during their benchmarking. From having meaningful dialogues with the provincial officials as to administration's best practices in strengthening investments.  

Hon. Kepes also noted gender balance in the legislature with many women board members, alongside male legislators.
