The Provincial Government of Northern Samar will join the National Cooperative Month celebration which will kick off on October 3, 2024, to be spearheaded by the Provincial Cooperative and Community Affairs Office (PCCAO), in partnership with the Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC) and the Cooperative Union of Northern Samar (CUNS).
The kick off activity will start with a thanksgiving mass at the Catarman Cathedral, followed by a motorcade from Catarman proper to the Provincial Capitol and the opening program at the Capitol Gym.
Anchored on the theme "Cooperatives: Stronger Together Today for a Brighter Tomorrow," the celebration is aimed at strengthening the bonds of cooperatives in the province, and working together to empower communities and foster socio-economic development.
Along with the National Cooperative Month, the National Statistics Month and Consumers Welfare Month, will also kick off, led by the Philippine Statistics Authority and the Department of Trade and Industry - Northern Samar.
