He highlighted that the team discovered a unique black coral table similar to fire reef in structure, which provides protection and breeding grounds for sea creatures, found exclusively in Bangkawan Island in Lavezares. According to Coach Leand, the exploration proved to be highly rewarding, unveiling the natural beauty of the sea corals and marine life that had only been imagined before.
Coach Leand, together with his colleague, Coach Ernest, led the Discovery Freediving event which catered to the Nortehanon diving hobbyists in the province.
The Provincial Government of Northern Samar is optimistic about the potential of this exploration and is dedicated to ensuring that as tourism grows, environmental impacts are also managed and ecological balance is maintained.
