Newly improved Provincial Road in Cag-abaca, Catarman

To help Nortehanons have easier access to government services and markets, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar has successfully completed the rehabilitation of the Somoge-Cag-abaca Provincial Road in Catarman, Northern Samar.

Funded under the Economic Development Fund amounting to P19 million, the project includes the repair of 4,486.87 square meter portland cement concrete pavement which comes with open-lined canal with catch basin and wheel guard.

To make the road passable even during rainy season, the repair of slope protection along Bridge 1 was made, allowing easy facilitation of people, goods and services to Barangay Cag-abaca.

The project also comes with the construction of 22 linear meters grouted riprap that will protect the area from soil erosion and provide travelers safe and smooth travel at all times.

The completion of the project exemplifies Governor Edwin Ongchuan and the Provincial Government's continued effort of providing the province quality infrastructures such as roads to achieve its goal of making Northern Samar a province that is Marig-on, Mainuswagon ngan Malipayon.
