THE SOURCE || President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. commends Outstanding MSMEs and Development Partners for their excellent capacity not only in generating revenue but also in encouraging sustainability, social justice and ecological awareness

Extending his felicitations to the 2024 Presidential Awardees recognized as Outstanding MSMEs and Development Partners, President Marcos highlighted their immense help in creating jobs and opportunities, contributing to the economic growth of the country.

"Congratulations to all our outstanding MSMEs and development partners! We certainly appreciate their contributions in helping us achieve a more prosperous Bagong Pilipinas. Because of their steadfast and persistent support, they enabled entrepreneurs to focus on what they do best, which is to create jobs, opportunities and growth.

Our awardees have shown excellent capacity not only in generating revenue but also in encouraging sustainability, social justice and ecological awareness in all that they do. Truly, they show us what an ideal local enterprise should look like – environmentally conscious, community driven and socially responsible. It is important not only to show our appreciation to them but also to encourage other government and non-government entities, academic institutions, and entrepreneurs to follow their examples. You can expect that this administration will continue to conduct activities like these to highlight the exemplars in this sector, with the hope of promoting their best practices throughout the country.

Let us remember that we sustain our patronage of support for and solidarity with our local businesses. For every enterprise that we support, every innovation that we foster, every product that we bring to market, we create opportunities for our fellow Filipinos to succeed, and to build end-roads for our economy to thrive and to prosper,” President Marcos said.

In his speech, he emphasized the significant steps the awardees have made to receive such prestigious recognition. "By improving local business climate, encouraging access to finance, market, technologies and innovations, and enhancing labor and management capacities, these awardees have helped prime local business to flourish and to succeed," the President emphasized.

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar was conferred by the President as Outstanding Development Partner for Improving Business Climate in a ceremony held at the Malacanan Palace on July 10, 2024, which award was received by Governor Edwin Ongchuan and the Provincial Economic Development Investment and Promotions Officer (PEDIPO), Mr. Jhon Allen Berbon.

The Presidential Recognition is given to diverse groups coming from various local government units, national agencies, NGOs and private sectors who are risk-takers and innovators, and are helping the national government accelerate the growth of the economy and the society.

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar, through the Provincial Economic Development Investment and Promotions Office (PEDIPO), has secured investments from various entities, creating potential jobs and allowing businesses in the province to flourish and succeed.
