Release of BHW incentive continues

Today, the Provincial Government has released the incentives of 221 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from the Municipality of Pambujan, the remaining BHWs which have not received their incentive yet for the first semester of 2023. In the past weeks, the Provincial Government has already conducted payout of incentives to BHWs from other towns.

The Provincial Government has registered a total of 3,035 BHWs all over Northern Samar who assist in the delivery of basic services at the community level.

The BHW Program carried out through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, is part of the Provincial Government’s strategy of strengthening the health system in the province whereby BHWs work alongside our health professionals in the monitoring and implementation of health and nutrition initiatives in the 24 municipalities of Northern Samar.
