To facilitate development and ensure safety of travelers, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar completed the improvement of the Provincial Road going to Barangay Cagaasan, Laoang, Northern Samar.
The 2-lane road project includes the rehabilitation of 211.85 linear meters of portland cement concrete pavement with slope protection allowing safe transportation of people and goods and ensuring access to all types of vehicles, while also safeguarding road users from the risk of soil erosion or landslides.
The road used to be narrow and steep, limiting access to only motorcycles and tricycles, and posing risk of road accidents especially during heavy rains or inclement weather.
Funded by the Provincial Government, the recently completed road improvement project comes with the installation of concrete barriers which play a pivotal role in road safety.
The Provincial Government of Northern Samar under the administration of Governor Edwin Ongchuan has remained steadfast in its effort to bolster infrastructure development to contribute to a resilient and progressive Northern Samar.
