Newly Constructed Evacuation Center in Rosario, Northern Samar

To help provide Nortehanons a safer space in times of disaster, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar has successfully completed the construction of Evacuation Center in Barangay 1 Commonwealth, Rosario, Northern Samar.

The P7.4 million project, funded under the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund, comes with generator set, water tank, kitchen and lavatory, emergency lights, electrical installations and other basic features. The 2-storey building is also equipped with comfort rooms and a ramp, all essential in providing Rosariohanons access to the facility, especially those with special needs.

While the evacuation center is located in Brgy. 1, it is also expected to serve neighboring barangays to help lessen the burden of people during hard times.

The completion of the project, aimed at promoting disaster resilience, is part of the Provincial Government and Governor Edwin Ongchuan's commitment of expanding infrastructure and safeguarding Nortehanons during calamities.
