Provincial Government Recognizes Outstanding Early-Childhood Education Local Implementers and Child Development Workers in Northern Samar

To highlight the dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Local Implementers and Child Development Workers (CDWs) in the province, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, recognized 20 Child Development Workers and 5 ECE Local Implementers, during the 32nd Provincial Children’s Month Culmination on December 17, 2024, at the Provincial Gymnasium, Provincial Capitol, Catarman, Northern Samar. The awards were conferred by Governor Edwin Ongchuan and Vice Governor Clarence Dato.

These individuals play a crucial role in shaping the foundation of children’s growth and learning during their most formative years. 

Outstanding ECE Local Implementers:

Mary Ann G. Constantino from LGU Mapanas bagged 1st place, receiving a certificate of recognition and Php 50,000 in incentives.

Emma A. Lobos from LGU Mondragon and Jocelyn G. Cerbito from LGU Laoang also received plaques of recognition and Php 50,000 cash incentives each.

Genoviva Almasco from LGU San Isidro and Jocelyn G. Cerbito (LGU Laoang) were likewise recognized for their outstanding contributions.

Outstanding Child Development Workers:

Fifteen (15) Child Development Workers from LGU Laoang and five (5) from LGU San Antonio were recognized for achieving Level 3 or Outstanding Results during the external evaluation.

By honoring their achievements, the Provincial Government not only acknowledges the efforts of these local implementers and CDWs but also motivates them to continue their work with passion and excellence. The recognition validates their sacrifices and inspires them to go above and beyond in delivering quality early childhood education programs.

In Northern Samar, where challenges in education are more pronounced, this recognition becomes even more significant. It strengthens the resolve of Child Development Workers and ECE Local Implementers to overcome barriers and affirms their role as champions of children’s education. Ultimately, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar, led by Governor Edwin Ongchuan, fosters a culture of appreciation, motivation, and community support, ensuring that every child in Northern Samar has access to quality early learning opportunities that will help them thrive.
