PGNS Sportsfest Champions Awarded


Hard work, endurance, and determination paid off for PGNS Sportsfest participants during the awarding ceremony held on November 9, 2024, at the Karibhungan Night Market in Dalakit, Catarman, Northern Samar.

The Provincial Government awarded the Purple Hawk team—representing the Provincial General Services Office and Provincial Planning and Development Office—as overall champion with an impressive 5 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze medals. Close behind, the Green Parrot team—comprising the Provincial Information Office, Provincial Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office, Provincial Engineering Office, and Provincial Youth Development Office—received second place with 2 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

The Red Horse team, including members from the Provincial Government Office, Provincial Administrator’s Office, and other offices, took third place with 7 medals. Brown Mago, representing the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and additional departments, was awarded fourth place with 8 medals.

Other teams—Blue Marlin, Black Hawk, White Elephant, and Yellow Fin—were also recognized for their excellent sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the Sportsfest. Each of the 8 teams received cash prizes, medals, and certificates from the Provincial Government.
