To create a conducive learning environment, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar has recently completed the construction of the first concrete school building at Cabunga-an Junior High School in Barangay Cabunga-an, Silvino Lubos.

Barangay Cabunga-an, the largest barangay in the municipality, is located approximately 6 km from the town center and can be reached by boat or on foot. With students from three feeder barangays—Barangay Giguimitan, Victory, and Gebolwangan—enrolling a total of 165 students, the school needed additional learning space.

In response, the Provincial Government launched the P4.3 million project through the Special Education Fund which constructed the 1-storey school building consisting of 2 classrooms complete with 3-cubicle toilets, good ventilation, green boards, and lighting.

This newly built structure is the first concrete school building at the site and complements the existing 4 makeshift classrooms. Final inspection was conducted by the Provincial Government Inspectorate Team on September 3, 2024.

This new school building project aims to enhance educational facilities in Silvino Lubos, particularly benefiting Barangay Cabunga-an and its neighboring communities.
