THE SOURCE || Eastern Visayas Regional Development Council Co-Chair Leo Christian Lauzon congratulates Governor Edwin Ongchuan and the Province of Northern Samar for its exceptional development initiatives, clinching all 3 Outstanding Development Partners awards in the regional awarding ceremony hosted by the Department of Trade and Industry Region 8 yesterday, August 5, 2024

Lauzon recognized the province’s outstanding achievements in all 3 categories:

1. The Provincial Government-PEDIPO as outstanding Development Partner for Creating/Improving Business Climate Category for its "One-Stop Action Center for Strategic Investments", highlighting its commitment to fostering a conducive environment for business growth.

2. LGU Allen as Outstanding Development Partner for Providing/Improving Access to Markets Category for its "Barriopreneurs" demonstrating their successful efforts in connecting local enterpreneurs to markets; and

3. LGU Catubig under Enhancing Management of Labor Capacities Category for its "Catubig Organic Climate Resilient Farm Business School Program" showcasing their dedication to enhancing skills and capacities in the agriculture sector.

These titles, as awarded by the Department of Trade and Industry, underscores the province’s initiatives in empowering Nortehanon entrepreneurs, solidifying its position as a thriving hub for MSMEs.
