Celebrating the birthday of 100 Millionth Nortehanon Symbolic Baby

In support to the maternal and neonatal health of the Nortehanon community, and to promote responsible parenthood and family planning, the Provincial Government of Northern Samar, through the Provincial Population Office, celebrated the 10th birthday of Sunrey O. Abenales, the 100 millionth Symbolic Nortehanon Baby, at the Sumuroy Hall, Provincial Capitol, on July 29, 2024.

In his message, Board Member Albert Lucero emphasized the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Northern Samar's commitment to legislating measures that support the province's population management program. "Ini nga aton pagselebrar sini nga kan Sunrey ika-napulo nga birthday, pagpakita ini suporta san probinsya nga an kabataan matagan sin igsakto nga suporta, igsakto nga mga programa, ngan igsakto nga mga aktibidad nga maparig-on sa indibidwal nga Nortehanon,” Board Member Lucero said.

Alongside Board Member Lucero in greeting Sunrey were BM Jing Layon, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ma. Aurora Dubongco-Vicencio, and Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Hannah Abegail Bautista, who also shared valuable messages and gifts with the birthday celebrant and his family. Other government and non-government organization-representatives who graced the event and brought along birthday presents included the Philippine Statistics Authority, PhilHealth, PSWDO, Municipal Nutrition Office of Catarman, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club.

Governor Edwin Ongchuan and wife, Ms. Bles Ongchuan likewise treated Sunrey with cash gift, groceries, and school supplies in support to his physical, social, and educational development.
